Obesity & Weight Management

Dieting or exercise, even if used in combination, sometimes don’t lead to sustained weight loss. We have designed a four month programme which uses a combination of psychological approaches to over eating, nutritional advice and graded exercise programmes, which aims to tackle some of the fundamental problems associated with chronic weight gain. 
 
Psychological issues in overeating. (Four sessions)
There can be many triggers which provoke over-eating and habits which sustain it. Our programme includes four one hour individual sessions aimed at identifying your triggers to bad eating habits. In this way, inappropriate triggers and habits become recognised and new ways of dealing with the underlying emotions are suggested. This approach facilitates the development of a more mindful and balanced approach to eating.
 
Nutritional Overview. (One session)
Your nutritional intake is examined in detail problem areas are highlighted. Suggestions are then regarding tailoring you total nutritional and calorific requirements to a more balanced diet.
 
Graded exercise programme. (four sessions)
A home based and individualised graded and tailored exercise programme is designed to accommodate your current level of fitness. The programme will be a mixture of aerobic and resistance training. This form of training improves muscle tone, enhances the burning of calories and promotes well-being.
